Meditation Classes

Petals of the Lotus is pleased to offer a range of meditation classes designed to help participants develop and enhance their meditation practice, leading them towards greater clarity, calmness, compassion and emotional wellbeing.  Our classes are perfect for all levels of meditators. We use Google Meet, so please join us and discover the peace, clarity, and joy that come from a regular meditation practice at Petals of the Lotus.

Healing Lines- A Bipoc meditation group

This is a three part series meditation program that introduces participants to the power of mindful breathing and guided meditation while addressing the stress of being a person of color in America. This program offers an opportunity for people from all backgrounds and walks of life to come together in a safe space and share in experiences while engaging in meditative practices that promote healing.

Participants will learn how to tap into their inner potential in order to reduce stress, become more resilient, and create a positive attitude toward life, focus on developing self-compassion and self-love and will come to understand the importance of self-care in healing from trauma. In addition, there will be an exploration of identity which aids in understanding our personal story and builds acceptance of who we are as individuals.

A Friend in need

Our program is designed for anyone who is feeling isolated or in need of companionship. Whether you're a senior citizen longing for some company, a student struggling to make friends, or anyone in between, A Friend in Need is here for you. Our members come from all walks of life, united by a shared desire to connect with others and make a difference in the world. We achieve this by doing acts of kindness in our community, uplifting others, and forming meaningful relationships that last beyond our program.

Whether you enjoy playing cards, taking walks in nature, organizing community events, simply chatting over coffee, our activities are centered around improving the lives of others, there's something for everyone in our community.

Petals of the Lotus, is dedicated to promoting mindfulness and inner peace, invites you to participate in a transformative meditation retreat. This retreat is designed to help you disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with your inner self, allowing you to achieve a deeper sense of peace, clarity, and focus.

Our meditation retreat is held in a serene and tranquil location surrounded by stunning natural beauty. During your stay, experienced meditation teachers will guide you through a variety of techniques, including mindfulness meditation, walking meditation, and Mindful Motion exercises, to help you deepen your practice and cultivate a greater sense of awareness. You will also have the opportunity to participate in group discussions and Q&A sessions with our instructors, as well as engage in personal self-reflection time. Our retreat is suitable for both beginners and seasoned meditators, and all are welcome to attend.
